When I first painted Facing Fear, this tagline came to me during the process. I had been painting birds and had this image of a little bird perched over a cliff, afraid of falling.
As I thought about this tagline I realized it’s so often how God sees me when I’m overwhelmed by fear. He created us to be free, just like this little bird, but we get distracted by negative thoughts and difficult circumstances in our lives and allow fear to take hold. Fear can have a powerful impact on our minds and cause us to feel stuck, overwhelmed, isolated or even panicked. Facing Fear was painted to remind us that we were meant to fly- to trust God and live freely for him.
Use this image as a reminder in your home that God is your help and you can trust him as he calls you to "fly" into freedom with Him.
