A young girl stands waiting. Anxious. Needing food. The baby birds symbolize the intense need and hunger she has that cannot be ignored. The background is layered to create a feeling of the passage of time. A limited palette was used to emphasize the needs waiting to be filled. "For the Least of These" was the first piece in my For the Least of These series that focuses on the needs of impoverished children around the world. Inspired by Matthew 25:37-40.
